Ubank – Cheap Ad, Great Rate

The Brief

To cement their place as a leading savings bank and fight off stiff competition, Ubank needed to create a campaign with cut-through to highlight their new savings rate.

The Solution

We ran intentionally ‘cheap and low budget’ creative to promote that our savings rate is so good, we had no budget left for our ad campaign.

While every other bank was leading with highly polished, heavily branded creative, we went the total opposite way. The campaign used a heavy amount of OOH and dOOH, but where it shone most was on social, creating a consistent storyline that was easy and effective to iterate on.

The campaign smashed acquisition numbers and was nominated for a few awards, winning TikTok’s ‘Greatest Performance Campaign’ in Australia… which suprisingly is a real thing.
